Having washed it and done the TX Direct treatment, when it's dry, pass a cool iron over it because this will refresh the DWR coating on the outside and, for the first few encounters with the rain, the drops will bead up and roll off.

Very true, guys. Also, I'd recommend throwing the garments into a clothes dryer on a hot setting for just a few minutes. Too long and you'll burn or melt the garments, but if you do it quickly it revives the DWR much better than an iron does.

PS: If you're in the bush and you notice that the garments are not shedding water as well as they should, boil a pot of water on your stove and gently run the pot all over the garments. It does the job in a pinch.
