Classic threads or FAQs

I'm thinking that we get a regular set of questions around certain types of kit, might be a good idea to get the classic threads linked from a sticky. Here's the ones which seem to pop up most.

Sleeping bags
Shelters/tarps/Bashas
Bivi bags

If you think we've got some classic threads which we should point folks to could you PM me with them and put the appropriate type of kit in the title to make it eaiser for me to sort out.
