Classic Camp Stove and Pressure Lantern, Newark 2023

I spent last week at the CCS and CPL rally at Newark and hand a fantastic time. First time I'd ever been and was made really welcome by everyone and they readily shared their knowledge with me when I asked things.

I did end up with a few things to bring home and thought folks might like to see them and a few pics from the rally.

There were a lot of Tilley lamps of varying sizes, all working




The largest hurricane lantern I'd ever seen. The three surrounding it were mine and the biggest one, a Dietz D-Lite, was dwarfed


The organiser had a large number of rare and unusual stoves and paraphernalia for sale. The coffee roaster is one of only two known to exist and the person who bought it put it to good use when he got home


These are what I came away with and there was so much more I'd like to have purchased

Lovely little Beatrice. I fell for them when @Robbi did his refurb. Definitely not a ‘day after payday’ type occasion, though at least you’d be able to cook, keep warm and light your home while you ate your value baked beans for a month

The Beatrice is a mint example, never been used and I couldn't refuse it when the seller offered to knock 25% off of what was an already bargain price. It just needs some fettling to free up the wick
