Cinnamon wood Atlatls

We were so impressed by the Atlatls at the Wilderness Gathereing that I came home from work today to find Gareth had spent all day whittling
These are made from spalted cinnamon wood, we happen to have rather a lot of this in stock at the moment, and I think they may need weighting for best effect as its quite a light wood, but for a first attempt I think these look rather pretty. Just the bindings on the neck to secure the points to do this evening.

We have points and flights on order so we can make some practice darts, can't wait for them to arrive New Toys, its so exciting!

Gareth finished the bindings last night, used strong linen thread as we have no sinew long enough lying around at the moment. Hope my points and fletchings arrive today!
