Iv'e not had long to play with it, but here goes..................
The knife arrived in it's sheath, oiled and wrapped. My first impressions where that I wasn't going to be that keen as it wasn't beautiful. That said, what it lacks in beauty it makes up for in brute force and ignorance. This is the knife loosley based on the woodlore, and i say loosley.
The knife stands a full 10 inches from tip to toe, 5 inches of indian rosewood handle and 5 inches of blade, the depth of the blade is1 and a quarter inches with a width of...............a quarter of an inch. This knife is a no nonsense tool, it's quite heavy, although iv'e not wieghed it yet.
The knife came sharp, but not razor sharp, so iv'e started to fettle it, it's not quite there yet but it's got a nice clean edge. I imagine the steel quality will not be perfect, but again this is a no nonsense knife.
In total the knife cost me £32.00, most of which was delivery from Katmandu!. The actual cost of the knife is $25.00, not at all much for such a knife.
The build quaility is good, very sturdy, and i reckon i could pick bricks out of a wall and it wouldn't bend!
This is just a quick round up of my first impressions, here are some pics.
Oh and the sheath is horrible
I will be getting a new one.
