Lurch is correct there and whilst the forum rules may not allow him to plug his own store (do they?) I however most certainly will as it delivers an excellent service at fiercly competitive prices definitely in line with the best prices I have seen on here. I should add that I have no connection with Lurch and have only ever dealt with him on a professional footing as a very satisfied customer :)

Hi all,

I have been looking around for a Gransfors Bruks axe and found this site, it is in the UK and the price shown on the screen includes delivery.

http://www.wealddown.co.uk/Shop/gransfors-bruks-axes.htm

The axes on this site are cheaper then Ebay and other websites that I have found.

Just thought I'd let you know, for thoughs of you who are looking for a decent axe.

Cheers

Adam

I quote from my link, "The axes on the site are cheaper then Ebay and other websites that i have found" the site includes delivery and www.woodsmithstore.co.uk doesnt making wealddown cheaper. www.lakelandbushcraft.co.uk Im not too sure if the prices shown on the screen include delivery.

I just made a statement before of what I found I was not trying to advertise any website even though i have just advertised 3 on this link.

Cheers

Adam

No, there's a charge of £3.95 per order. Less than it costs me to send out an axe but I didn't want to make the delivery cost system complicated.
The margins on Gransfors gear are pooh, dealers make a very low margin on them so folks shouldn't expect to find many amazing cheap prices on them.

I think the first post is useful, the Weald and Downland are cheaper on most GB axes than most places and the profit goes to one of he best open air museums there is, which I like.

Having said that its always worth a few minutes on google if you are skint and sometimes its surprising where the good deals are to be had. For instance cheapest wildlife hatchet I found is woodlore at £43.50 delivered. Intrigued by Tony's post though...tel us more Tone.
