Hi all, I know this isn't exactly bushcraft but thought those who wear pescription glasses might be interested :)

I have just received my second pair of specs from www.site4eyes.co.uk and would recommend them to anyone needing single vision pescription glasses. Prices start from £15 for the frames with standard pescription lenses included. Cheapest I could find in town was starting at over £50.

I had the first pair from them in August, this pair is pescription sunglasses, I hate not having a pair of shades The only problem I've had since I got the first pair was a loose screw this month, not bad for constant wear since August.

They also have good customer service. I was having a bit of trouble logging on to the site so rang them and the lady was very helpful and sorted my order out without any further fuss. Took 10 days to get here, now I just wish I'd ordered them a couple of weeks earlier, could have done with them last week!

Oh, I have no association with the company bar being a happy customer

Thanks!

I've only recently started having to wear glasses, and I've been meaning to get some cheaper ones for using outdoors that I wouldn't mind quite so much if I damaged/broke. These look ideal and a tiny fraction of the extortionate price I payed at specsavers for silly ultra-thin frameless things.

I used an internet site (glasses direct) for a pair of glasses a few years ago... First of all they forgot my order, but hey that happens, and they were very apologetic about that...
Once I got the glasses, they were not nice...
I had uploaded a photo of my face onto their website, so that I could try different styles of frames onto my face (good idea I thought). I found a pair that I liked and ordered them. But when I got them they were huge. On the site, I had made the glasses fit my face, but how can an internet site know how big or small your face is..? I hated wearing those glasses...
Well done on yours working out ok for you...

Like everything you need to shop around.....two pairs of single vision specs in my local market for £60. All you need is an eye test from somewhere else.
Like to try things on if I can.

I'm in a small town with no decent transport links so I tend to get things online a lot :) The local opticians are not cheap, the tint and the uv400 coating would have doubled the price if I'd got them here. It did on site4eyes too, but £15 doubled is a lot better than £50 doubled!
