This might be of interest as a potential source of activated carbon, i doubt it's readily available at the moment unless you live near the raw materials and can make it yourself though.

I've got an idea based on finely chopped gorse leaves/spines as per the other thread + some laser toner (which I just happen to have lying about).

I'll have to find my food processor [1] to chop up the gorse.
It's in the shed so might take a couple of days, then expect a video...


[1] I'm not allowed to use SWMBO's since I used the last one to break up some expanded polystyrene
