Is anyone interested in doing a pest control course the guy who takes the course will travel to a venue of our choice providing there is evidence that the pest species we'll be covering is present at that location he also needs a room in order to show slides etc and do any paper work the 1st one will be mole control which gives a certificate which allows you to purchase poisons relevant to the control of moles if 6 people enrol then the fee is £60 for the one day there is also rat, mouse and rabbit control a present the course will be held in the Coventry area unless someone out there has a bad mole problem dates to be arranged

sorry for the late reply I had some difficulty posting in answer to your Q moles do present a problem in areas where livestock are kept also in horse paddocks where the animals are in danger of breaking legs in areas that have been mined by moles the course also has modules that deal with rat, mice and rabbits control

As J Carrot esquire will tell you - "There is only one way to get rid of a mole..."
Beware of revolving stools!

:lmao: You've actually brought a tear of mirth to my eye just mentioning that sketch .... and now I am thinking of it more I think the giggles are going to stay with me all night. :lmao:

For this reason there would be no way I could come on this course :lmao:

This thread reminded me of my last job, I was working as software dealer in an old country mansion house and the gardeners were having a mole problem we would see them hitting the mole hills with spades then we noticed them using 'smoke bombs'. Well seeing as I started at 7am I thought I would have a little fun, every morning I came in and went out and rebuilt the destoryed mole hills. Just after 9am the gardeners came and inspected the mole hills, the look on their faces as they looked at the rebuilt hills they grabbed their spades and beat the hills in frustrations and inserted more smoke bombs. This went on for weeks with me rebuilding the mole hills, eventually the other software developers got word about what I was doing and it soon become a daily spectacle watching the frustrated gardeners. :lmao:

Woodstock, wasn't taking the ****. I understand the frustation and damage that moles could cause in certain environments and deeply sympathise with anyones predicament where their livestock are being injured because of the moles tunneling. I feel in certain circumstances such as your own that some sort of control is justified and a course in the humane management of the problem is a worthwile exercise. Unfortunately in the occupation that I have pursued I don't encounter many moles but I do come across viruses... :) I hope that some others think about your proposal and think about what you are suggesting because to some people moles are a problem and can cause numerous problems to their lives and business.

Thinking back to my last job it was funny watching the gardeners frustration as their only remit was to make the grounds look good for the visitors.

I already have moles in my garden and having tried everything from ultrasonics to kiddies windmills to poison towaiting for them with a big stick in my hand I am convinced that Carrot has the only real answer - but I live too close to a road to use a shotgun!
I cannot afford to use subterrainian gassing (nor would I want to) nor explosive devices though I see their value.
Anyone got any ideas about getting rid of rats and moles at the same time using humane/green methods only?

We had them at an outdoor centre lawn, answer, get the kdis to play football on that lawn and after two days they had moved on. Apparently they could not sleep with the vibrations from the football.
