I do find them meatier [not sure if i've just made that word up - looks wrong to me somehow] but I find thats part of what makes them tasty. I'm not sure what breed of duck I've got and if different breeds have different tasting eggs.

But then again the true free range hen eggs I get from a friend taste meatier than their shop bought counterparts [/counterfeits].

Yep all true - I tend not to eat "shop bought" eggs now - I find them disappointingly watery (the opposite of meatier :)) - that might be why I think chooky eggs taste like duck eggs :). There is a diference - but not, I find, a huge one?

I much prefer ducks eggs and will always get them in preference to chooks.

I can never understand why some people dont like them. I find Turkeys eggs musky, I can understand folks aversion to those, but not ducks or gooses.

Never had an ostrich egg but Ive had Rheas...Also meaty. A bit pricey but a great treat when visiting.
