I was in London last week and just by chance I was passing an army surplus store in Covent Garden of all places and spied a Swiss Salt and Pepper rucksack for £22.
I couldn't believe my eyes. I have wanted a Duluth-type sack for ages, canvas and leather straps, but didn't want to pay the big price. It's a fantastic bag in great condition and I'm convinced it will last me a lifetime. You can buy these on the net but I didn't because I wasn't sure what they were like.
For anyone looking a day sack with a bit more character than the more modern bags you could do a lot worse than shelling out £22 for a cracking bit of kit.
