Canoeing the River Forth

A very short gopro of canoeing the Forth, from Stirling up river. Filmed a few weeks back.

The guidebook says 'a glorified ditch', so clearly the author has not paddled it.

I'm no paddler but I've always fancied doing the Clyde-Forth canal.

Starting in Glasgow- speirs wharf - you have no locks till Banknock. So easy to paddle.

Second hand are cheaper, but yes, expensive. Mine (old town Charles river) was £650 new in 2006. Now £1000+

You can hire opens at Auchinstarry marina. Nice quiet stretch with no habitation till Banknock.
