Whats the cheapest possible flights to Vancouver you have experienced?

Im looking on the net, and the cheapest I can find is about £800 !!!

No, normally more expensive !

We've always gone in July or August so paid top dollar.

Make sure you visit Tofino James, catch up with Gisele at Tla-Ook and do the Meares Islands trip. Getting up at 5 a.m for the bear watching trip is worth the early night too.

Go now, as next year anything transatlantic will be pretty stiff.

A lot of mates flying those routes are sure that the days of the £1k return across the pond isn't so far away

prices go up closer to the time, I had to travel to San Francisco with work in Jan i got prices and told them in Nov that is was 600-700 they didnt tell me when i needed to be there so i didnt book, mid Dec they then told me the dates, 1200 it had gone upto.

This is true if you have to have a confirmed seat reservation. However if you're willing to fly "stand-by" then the price will go down. When flying "stand-by" you simply show up at the airport and hope they have an unsold seat that they will discount. Be advised however that not all airlines follow this practice and even if they do, there is no guarentee you'll get a seat.

Another inexpensive option (56 pounds each way) is to fly RAF Indulgence (if you qualify)
