Camping Airbed...?

Hi, new to BushcraftUK as a member but enjoyed reading the blogs and reviews etc. before now.... However, I have a very important issue for the bushcraft comunity if I may?

Essentially, I'm a big wuss and want a lovely comfy place to sleep while out camping! ;)

Started off with a closed cell foam mat, and OUCH! Then went to hammocks which were great but on the cold side, then with underblankets/sleeping bags/etc etc got to abou twice the size and weight so wasn't practical. A couple of nights camping in one location with the car nearby so went for the standard camping airbed, flock cover etc. Lovely although it did tend to go down a bit and was very tight to fit inside the freestanding army mosi net. And obvisouly a bit too big to hike around with and stuff in to the canoe. 7.5mm self inflating air matress was next (just this weekend in Brockwell Woods, which I hear some people from here were at too?). It was better than the closed cell mat but still a bit numbing after a while. So with much deliberation and avoidance of work this morning I've found these;

Price is making the PakMat look temping but would appreciate any first hand experience and/or advice from anyone?

Thanks guys
PS - First trip to Brockwell Woods, loved it! Fantastic place.

Without doubt, for warmth, small pack size and comfort, it has to be a downmat 9lw.

Uninsulated airbed are usually very comfy but not very warm IME.

Wow, thanks everyone! Got some eBay searches on for the Pakmat and Downmat now, see what comes up. Downmat probably first choice based on the immediate and overwhelming praise for it. Thanks again...
