On another thread, Tantalus asked how to make a campfire pizza oven. I've never had such a thing, but I've often made campfire pizza.
When Wing and I used to guide a lot, we often set a day aside for making fresh raised bread, buns, and other foods having to do with flour - such as pizza. we baked most everything on hot rocks or in hot coals, sometimes using tinfoil - sometimes not.
I don't remember our exact recipe (I'm at work) so I took a look on the web. There were several recipes having to do with using pita bread, tortillas, and the like. We never used anything like that, and used to turn something out which, if done right, would do service in any decent pizza restaurant. I found one recipe that looks similar to what we do.
