Hi all me my girlfriend and two mates headed over to a new wild camp site just outside of Beamish county durham

Hi Gaz, nice spot and pics, nearly mirrors a wood near me, but you ain't allowed to camp in it.

It's the newest wild/bushcraft site in Durham, we will be hosting monthly meet ups with a different seasonal theme/craft demo

each time, all are welcome

Great trip report thanks for posting, but strewth who's been leaving stumps like those in the background when felling? Use could use them are raptor perches. I would've sacked a cutter for leaving stumps like that.

Like your Swedish candle, did you get a chance to cook on it?

in an ideal world you wouldnt have bust your axe shaft...great times though! we didnt manage to cook on the candle but i have done the odd omelette on them before loads of heat!!:aargh4:
