My cactusclimbing supertrousers arrived today. All I can say is WOW! They're awesome.. £87 well spent imo they seem indestructible and the quality / finish is done to an exceptionally high standard.

Wore em out today with a pair of Ulfrotte long johns (200's) underneath. Was warm and comfy. Can't recommend these enough, wow.

told you:D

i cant wait to bump into someone wearing a pair. tamarack should start stocking them. i recon i've got 3 more weeks in mine till i wear my cactus shorts.

imho you'll not find a better pair of keks. i'm going the lakes for a couple days winter walking tomorrow, and if it's dry i'll not be taking mine off.

iv had a pair of cactus shorts for a while now and they really are the best pair of shorts i own! i've also got the patrol pack which is excellent though may be for sale soon if anyone is interested.

I fancy a pair of the trousers but its hard to tell from the website what the fit is like... are they a tight or loose fit? any chance of a pic of you sporting said trousers? ;)

You should try Craghoppers.
Hard wearing, comfortable for long days and cheap.

Happy trails...torc.

They are okay, but are a rather "generous" cut - with a lot of loose fabric flapping around if you do cycling, or river crossings etc.

I would go for The North Face Paramount Convertible - made of the toughest fabric I've ever come across - after 8 months of backpacking, including jungle survival and 6 years general use they are still going strong with only some fraying near the bottom....!

Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
