Buying burls

Hi all,

For a while now iv been wanting to carve a kuksa out of birch burl, however I'm struggling to find a birch with a big enough burl that I can easily get (it's frowned upon to stop on the road side, whip out a saw and start cutting!)
I recently found a few spots you can buy burls (brisa) but at 30 quid it's not cheap!
Was wondering if there is a cheaper place to get them from, or if I should just keep searching until I find one?

Speak to any tree surgeons you come across.

For 30 quid you could probably get a van load from them and it wouldn't just be birch
