Bushcrafty measurements

  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
cut it to about the length of your forearm, sure I heard that on a bushcraft course... followed by lots of people looking round at everyone else....

I've never come across any indigenous peoples that carry tape measures yet, they all use 'body part' measurements, ie, fingers, hands, arms, forearms, etc and in fact my ideal length for a fire bow is from my belly button to the floor :lmao:

im not sure about measurements but for weight it could be converted into bannocks ...............for example a double decker bus is equal to 5 istvans .....:p

The answer to the question “where is the latrine” is a reliable measure of food preparation when entering an established camp.

Over the hill and far away = Good times
In my bivvy = Bad times ;)
