I've just been googling parsec
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parsec
Interesting
Measure the distance from the Earth to the Sun six months apart and trig it from there
Anyway, it gave me thought.
There's the ubiquitous dod, as in , "Gimme a dod of that." that is always just the right size. There is the, "In a minute!", which is always understood to be anything but. The, "I'll see you later (accent dependant on the intention of why
) that is an accepted unspecified but happily accepted time.
Bushcrafty ones ?
When the Hawthorn buds open .....
Spring at last
The first breath of Autumn and how long from then to the Hawthorn... ?
Sticks cut about as long as the SFA, or the laplander, or a mora ?
As hot as, as cold as, as peaceful as ??
cheers,
M
