Bushcraft or gardencraft

things have gone a bit bushcrafty here. It all started yesterday morning when contractors cut through the powercables - result no power = no kettle Solution: out with the new wood burning stoves and the zebra billy. Plent of tea to be had all day, plus I got alot better at feather sticks.

Today, eventually got around to having a go at tapping the birch tree in the garden, sooh had a couple of cupfulls. Now I've just "dealt" with the pheasant that has been pecking up the new plants in the garden.

Not sure what to do next.

swapped for a bale of meadow hay I'm affraid- got to keep the guinea pigs quiet.

Postage on the next depend on if you want 1st or 2nd class - I'd suggest 1st though.

sorry to be a terrible nit-pick but are pheasants not out of season? It is after all a rather crucial time in their reproductive cycle.

I wish we had pheasant here. About the only gamebirds round here are grouse and wild turkey.

pest control of cock bird, do not sean to have any problem with the hens - even though one has layer about 30m from the house.

The ones around here are feral as it is a private estate with no shooting.
