Hi all,
yesterday we were walking on a nice place next to our house

we found some small fruits

we (ehm..I) spent some time testing knives, having fun…

...but suddenly …

…uhm, does’nt need to be Sherlock Holmes to understand something tragic happened here :)
let’s continue, after 50 metres

aha, a part of the body, let’s name him John Doe for the moment :)

who’s the killer? Maybe he leave his sign near to the killing place

Ciao from NCIS…sorry, from Italy,
Alfredo

Looks like fox to me with a few cubs involved judging by the hair colour. I definately know what killed that tree, from the marks and evidence left behing it looks like a Greater Paranged Alfredo.

Thanks!
These are "old" small fruits, I mean nobody today eats them...instead they are edibles, and good to taste, at least as I'm feeling...they were very popular in Italy in earlier '900, when silk was an important national product.
Don't know, maybe the same in UK?

Wild or alpine strawberries? Can't remember but I find them nicer than shop ones. Although ones eaten at a PYO are nicer still (surrepticiously sneaked I mean fallen into my mouth is most satisfying, you'd be surprised how often it happens).

Up here I'm itching for bilberry time. It'll be soon in the Lakes. A few weeks ago (last time I've been out in Lakes due to hols in even hiller areas) they were just about forming in a few spots. Just not ripe. I reckon soon though.
