Always amazes me that US universities offer so much more information - often free - than UK universities - but receive much less state funding. I recall being offered a free online course in food preservation. I told them I was English and they were fine with it.

It would be great to see more vocational and "non academic" learning offered by UK colleges and unis - seems to be a thing of the past though.
