i've been fancying having a go at making one of these stoves for a while and have spent a fair bit of time looking for a decent tutorial with very limited success. a couple of months ago i managed to find a decent diagram with fairly good written instructions so had a look round the house to see what materials i could find. i found a tin that originaly held powdered milk and another that had some beans in it, they seemed to fit together pretty well and i ended up with this

the resemblance is pretty striking don't you think?
i believe the term is parallel evolution.

mine works pretty well, so i can only assume that the one in the tutorial should work pretty well too!

cheers
