I have a Larousse pocket guide which is a little bigger than a Collins Gem but still fits into a pocket with ease, it does howver contain quite a lot more information than the Collins Gem I also have so the extra inch or so in height is more than made up for.
Its only today that I have really thought about it but assuming the rest of their titles are as good as that I might just have a look at the other field guides they do but won't be forking out the 25 quid that some of them are up for.
