Anyone been reading of the Lancs/Cumbria/Yorkshire cave link up? A very long term project (20 years IIRC) is close to resulting in a link-up making the third largest cave network found so far in the World. I suspect that I know two of those involved. Used to work with two cavers who were into that sort of stuff. Oneparticularly was obsessed with digging out holes in the ground. Used to (with the farmer's permission) dig a depression in the ground, spending years digging and removing rocks from a sink hole or something only to find a dead end at the bottom. Then on to the other project. Seriously obsessed people. That's what I like.

Anyway, Borneo might be the best but we are right up there in my neck of the woods. Imagine three counties cave network. They will obviously expand it further out once it has been linked up. People like that won't stop.
