1st version - all silver with the marlin spike 1970 to 1990
2nd version - 2 blade non locking 1990’s version
3rd version - 2 blade locking. Late 1990’s version

Going to use these have a play using these knives again, just to see which one is the “best” Not used any of them in many years.

What’s your experience of any of the 3 versions.

What's not to like. I use it as a every day carry as it's non locking, no point and sub 3 inch.

I used to carry one all the time can’t remember why I stopped hence what to see which one to carry again. Light and small enough.

Ive got a rusty and somewhat broken 1958 one with two blades. The blades are still good, but the rivets have rusted, and the back spring is broken. I must admit that I found it in the log store at our new house though. Its beyond me to fix it.

Mine is 1987 version with marlin spike . As Sappers we were issued them , wore them attached to our lanyards in shirt pocket ....

Great little knife , every time I use mine it reminds me of my army days .....

I gave mine to my brother when he was working in Custody as he wanted a knife that he could open easily and quickly in case he had to cut someone down.

I got a 1980’s or 90’s (I don’t know date) with a marlin spike, i use t almost daily for chores like opening parcels or cutting cord etc. I use the marlin spike far more than I thought I would to. Only trouble is the marlin spike adds bulk so I would like a 2 blade one with no marlin spike to keepmin my pocket I think

I bought mine about 10 years ago and it's the knife I use 99% of the time.
I did a bit of work on mine. It had a bottle-opener thing which I didn't like because it stood proud of the handle. So I removed it. I then smoothed the back of the blade so it was more rounded. And finally I added some scales.
What I love about this knife is that it is EDC legal. Although a non-locking knife the spring that holds it open is very strong and stiff. Also the blade takes and holds a very sharp edge. Worth every penny.

That's a really nice alteration Wander, a proper celebrity style facelift...Terrific job..
Are the scales pinned, or did you epoxy them in place?

Thanks for that, I have a non issue knife with a broken black plastic scale which would benefit from similar treatment..
