I have a British Army Machete that I picked up in an army surplus shop a while back to use in the garden as a billhook type object. It never got as far as the garden. I found it again during a recent tidyup and decided to see if it was any use when out in the woods.
My conclusion was that the grind on it is c**p. Most of the blade has a shape that is barely of use as a butter knife, let alone actually chopping anything. The rest of the blade while at least going to a point, it is such a shallow wedge shape that it's very little use.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can turn this into a useful tool?
Thanks
Julia
