British Army ECW gortex boots Temperature Rating Question

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could give me some details on these.

I'm definitely after some of the Altbergs Defenders 12W for general British use, but am trying to work out whether or not to get a pair of the British goretex ECW boots also.

What kind of tempertature are they rated down to? Are the equivalent of the Cold Wet Weather boot ie -19C? Or are they designed even more extreme temperatures -30 or -40C?

Thanks for any help you can give me. I've been uable to find out via googling.

Personally mate I wouldn't bother with issued ecw boot, I find them terribly uncomfortable. But then they might fit your feet perfectly.

I have a pair and they are supurb boots, very comfy. Cant say how warm they are as everyone has a different temp threshold.
