well i have had success today at the bow drill method,YIPPEE have been trying for a while with no success probably due to materials as have been getting lots of smoke but no ember so tried a piece i brought back from australia with me. the spear from a blackboy, not sure of correct name for it and i can see why the aboriginals use this plant as i got an ember in alot less than 30 seconds from start to finnish I will have to practice more with the native woods tho to be fully proficient in this method so back to it
