Ive been thinking about buying a hide, for winter camping.
Is it tanned? Or a dried hide? Is it proofed? Are you going to proof it yourself? Do you know if the person you got it from has any more?

You mean the Badger/Reindeer/Abominable snowman type sheep fleece which looked vaguely like fishfish's new purchase? Didn't we eat it what was left of it??

It's amazing what you find in the woods after a few (ahem) ports. Best leave it there mate
