Recently spent a long weekend in the Scottish Borders with friends.
After driving up early Friday morning we hiked out to our first nights stay in Spithope bothy.

Gathering fallen wood from nearby and prepping it for the woodstove.

After collecting loads of fuel and filling the wood store we got the stove on for brew.

We left Spithope and travelled to another bothy for the second night. After a long walk in though pine forest and past an ancient mire we got to the bothy.

A bigger bothy with a bigger woodstove.

We spent part if the evening outside looking at the sky. I don't think I've ever seen so many stars and satellites.

The next day we walked back to the car and foraged some food in the town.

Returned to Spithope for the last night.

I tested out a new hammock in one of the wood blocks. I picked a tree that was too small and it kept bending!

It was a really fun weekend with some good weather and some not so good weather :)

Edited again for photos.

I'm getting the pics, but not all of them quite match with the description in your post (doesn't really matter though).

Looks like a great trip.

I'm getting the pics and it looks a cracking trip. (Like the glacier glasses, I've a pair just like them). Looks a nice part of the world and makes me want to play on a canal boat again.
Cheers for posting I enjoyed that.

I loaded the first photo again directly off my phone. The rest are still on Flickr.
I thought we had to use host sites to load photos to the forum?
Is there a how to guide anywhere?
