Boots for Canada

My sister is off to Canada for 10 days and is looking for some boots that will serve and be warm.

Does anyone have any suggestions for such a pair?

Picking them up there sounds like a much better plan than trying to find good ones in the UK.

It depends, where in Can. is she going? The weather (and footwear requirements) varies significantly from area to area.

Sounds like she could buy some Sorel boots out there.
People swear by them not at them.

Skeetex lace-up fieldboots are great. I rarely wear mine as they are too warm unless its below zero. I think they are rated to -20, my feet have been toastie warm at - 10.

Hi Mrmel I have a pair of Baffin boots. Actually they're a bit OTT for the uk, but some of their boots are rated to -60c!

Not cheap and some are very heavy. But if she's standing around for a long time in the snow/ice you'd be hard pushed to get better.
