I'm interested in learning to make buckskin and making bone tools but I don't know anyone with even a remote connection to hunting or butchering.

Are there any suppliers of fresh, salted or frozen skins I can buy them from or is it a case of "knowing a guy"?

I was thinking about contacting a butcher who deals with game but in not sure if they'd do that, possibly I could contact a tannery and seeing about raw skins but that's not really what they sell.

Really want to get into trying this.

Any help much appreciated

Cheers

Bones to make tools from are easy to get... just go down you local pet shop and buy them there. I've seen some lovely items made from bones sourced that way.

Skins, it's a case of knowing someone.
