I made one once. Sewed up the stones I used for weights into denim pouches, then tied the pouches to the strings.
This was becasue I couldn't get the stones to stay tied on directly.
I never tried hunting with it, but it did kind of work on trees & stuff I used for experimenting. The ropes tended to twist / tangle together, and I never did figure out the knack of keeping them from doing so.
Maybe we have a South American member who can explain more?
