They are used with tranquilising darts by vets, therefore all are classed as a section 5 firearm. The same as all the fun stuff; machine guns, pistols etc.

Mandatory 5 year sentence.

They sell them in some toy shops, I tried to tell a manager once, he couldn't care less. 😲

They are likely one of those items that don't often crop up, someone may own one or sell them but no one realises!

Discussing their history and First Nations use is fine but as a family friendly site we cannot be seen to endorse any illegal activity.

I used to to have a blow pipe as a teenager. It could put a fairly sizeable dart through a wooden door. Sadly many of my tools had to go when the government decided it was no longer allowed.

Fact of life we all need to play within the rules.
