Out and about yesterday I noticed a few ripe-looking blackberries. Very early in the year for them. All the spring growth was late because of the cold, maybe autumn fruits will be early due to the heat?

All the blackberries here are still green. Absolutely loads of them though.

Yep, we've been eating Rasps aswell. Though i tend to cheat and leave a few canes on our autumn fruiting ones at the end of the year and these give a decent early crop of berries in mid June. They never taste as nice as the ones from the new canes though.

The only soft fruit we've had down here have been the wimberries, the best crop we've had in years and as good as I've ever tasted - God's own berries, in my book!

The blackberries are flowering madly and promise a huge crop................blackberry & apple crumble, MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm!
