An aboriginal friend asked me to make this for her as she sews and does beadwork, using native tanned moose and caribou like this: http://www.arcticcanadatrading.com/
She has a large number of scissors and wanted this to sit on her sewing table.. Nothing fancy, strictly utilitarian, just a birch log with holes drilled at random. She also wanted the bark left on.
I only have a couple pairs but it shows the idea.
