Maybe but it only starts to degrade after 12 months so if any wildlife gets caught up in it and cant get free we hope they dont die within the 12 months it takes to start to degrade so they can break free. If you build any shelter that is not permanent then you should leave no trace so take your cord or wire away with you.

No harm done.

I think it's a good idea so long as folks still make the effort not to leave it lying around to entangle wildlife, the problem might be simply that folks will get lacadaisical about it because they know it will eventually rot down.

I'm an archeologist and I have to wonder sometimes just what our descendants will think of us :( Wasteful, greedy, idle, despoilers...............
