Trapping, numbers game

I’m not brilliant with improvised traps but I do well enough with Talpex, Fenn traps, magnums and snares. I know that isn’t really what the OP was asking but it’s difficult to get any practice with something that doesn’t appear on the approved traps list here in the UK. People can be funny enough about legal traps without them seeing something dangling or impaled. The general public are a judgemental lot.
 
One of the issues with the US series seemed to be with other critters stealing the trapped bunnies from the snares.
Success seemed to be strongly associated with taking down something big with a bow and then working out how to protect and preserve the meat from the critters mentioned above!
