Found some new things in the garden.

These great big things are Boysenberries

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boysenberry

and I assume the things like a big raspberry are loganberries.

but there is another, a long red berry, rather like the boysenberry in size, but looks like a raspberry.

however it remains on the core like the blackberry or boysenberry, not come free as raspberries do.

Is this what is known as a Tayberry?

Tayberries are just like that (although they will come free when ripe). It is a much, much larger plant than a raspberry cane though

Loganberries don't come free of their core Tengu........I grow them and just use them as is for munching or juice them because of it.
Oh, and every bit of stem and the back of the leaves, is as thorny as a cactus
Great Hedge :D

cheers,
Toddy
