I have just aquired a Munro pack from a mate that couldn't get on with it. He found it uncomfortable but I quite like it.

My mate mentioned that he thought that there are some side pouches that berghaus make specially for the pack. I have had a quick google and could only see Silverman's doing them for £25 a pair but there are no pics. I couldn't see anyone else selling them.

Does anyone here have a munro with the side pouches that they could post some pics and a review?

I don't want to part with my cash if it turns out that they are pants!

thank you in advance

I think there's some pics of them on here somewhere, I think they have the plastic back and are smaller than PLCE pouches.

The side compression straps thread through the plastic on the pouches and then back into the compression system.

I had the side pockets for my Munro but got rid of them in the end as I didn't really use them. You can fit in a water bottle and a few bits but not much else. They do fit well and don't move around, but IMO arn't worth the money unless you really like side pockets and plan to use them. Don't get them 'just in case'.

It is not a perfect solution and can make for a heavy load on your shoulders if you're not careful, but ordinary plce side pouches will fit ok on the Munro's compression straps. I also fitted the long straps off the yoke over the top of the pack so that the comp straps aren't taking all the load.
