I have a Karrimor Sabre 45 I would like to have Molle added to at the base of the front and sides to take some external pouches. I don’t want a pack that already has Molle on as there is pretty much nothing with Molle at the base of the pack as it always seems to sit higher up and I much prefer external weight to be low on my packs like the ear pocket on the British Army bergens.

Most of the usual pack modifiers seem to only offer pouches rather than Molle and they are usually camo where I want to use plain green.

Anyone done this?

To fit PALS loops to your pack in those areas would require a suitable machine able to get into
those awkward spots, something like a tubular sewing machine, cylinder arm or similar,
whereby you open the pack and sleeve it into the sewing machine, not something everywhere would necessarily have, a conventional flat bed sewing machine more commonly used would involve taking
the pack apart to some extent to stitch in those areas, this may be a hurdle to some depending on
who you approach for such alterations.

An alternative perhaps, would be to use the SR buckles on your Sabre 45 and clip on a PALS panel or something suitable, Ive used surplus Eagle industries drop leg PALS panels on various packs in the past
via the buckles on the packs, sometimes switch out the buckles to suit depending.
Theres lots of these panels out there in various forms and sizes, you used to be able get a zipped panel
for the sides of the Sabre pack as I have a few for mine somewhere, though failing to source such making
a panel to suit would be a simple job.

If your still looking and stuck drop me a pm and I maybe able to help.
