No way a silly question and full marks for taking other peoples advice.

It really can be a very serious undertaking even for experienced folk. I've spent time on The Ben in winter and if the weather turns, it ain't for the faint hearted or inexperienced.

Whatever you get up to, have fun, be safe!

The Ben has killed a lot of experienced climbers over the years and novices are even more at risk!
