  • Merry Christmas Guest, we hope that you have a great day wherever you are, and we're looking forward to hearing of your adventures in the New Year!
Nice photos and thanks for sharing. Eight weeks is nice period of time to be out and about and certainly allows you to "tune in" to your surroundings especially when conducted alone or in small numbers.

8 weeks away?? I can never have more than 2 weeks off in one go from work. Best I've done was 10 days moving around Lakes. With a sneaky night in a campsite to shower in the middle. Not jealous just want a new job after I take 8 weeks holiday. Nice Photos. South Downs area was it? I take it you moved around and it wasn't a base camp? Its good your dog takes the pack I know of some who would just roll around till they scratched it off. A guy I knew had a golden retriever who took one. Could take food and water for a couple of days. Dry food though, well if his owner had to have it so did the dog.

Some very nice shots really like the tree roots shot. The one with the guy in the background and wild garlic I think in the foreground is good for the focus too.

After 8 weeks would be a good time frame to form some conclusions over kit and experiences and an order and method of doing things , so with hindsight would you care to share some thoughts or views?

Thanks for the pictures getaway, some good photos there. Where was this 8 weeks spent getaway, if you don't mind me asking? And did you have any trouble with landowners whilst camping up? Also I have to say this is my favourite photo of the lot

The yew lined holloway is wonderful. When I first visited Kent I expected it to be one big area of suburban sprawl, how wrong could you be. Surrey, Kent and East and West Sussex are the 4 most wooded counties in England. North Downs are wonderful and I spent 2 years living and working in the woods on the Greensand Ridge (though I did have a converted cowshed to live in) Great pics and nice to see the one of the cleared site.
