Yes , a Trail can will be installed.
Unfortunately the place that these have escaped from a few years back don't seem to have a good retention record.
They had a Wild Boar enclosure - they escaped and had to be tracked down.
They have a Lynx enclosure - one of those went out for its own little nature walk.
The Beavers escaped and set up shop some 7 miles down the River - seems they have returned upstream to have look around.
I'm now a little concerned as they have a new enclosure.

We had some beaver activity a few years back, they didn't stay long but it was interesting while it lasted. I never actually saw them but I did hear that charateristic clap on the water a few times. They compete with coypu 'round these here parts.
Unfortunately, most of the photos I took were on Photobucket which are lost forever now but I did post a few on FB.
It took them a few nights to bring this tree down. ( the dog, GSD size, kindly stepped in for scale)
No idea if it was by design or luck but the tree not only fell perfectly between other trees but also landed at the river's edge where the bark could be eaten in safety.

We've lots up them by me, still haven't located a den for them, in the location there's unlikely to be a lodge. I have them on a trail cam but last week we actually saw one swimming. Lost sight of it but when looking at the mobile footage it dove leaving barely a ripple. They've dropped a lot of birch trees but are unable to get the bark on the bottom of the tree so I collect it for fire starting, beaver birch.

Good article. Beavers appear to provide clear benefits but they are too random for some who would prefer man made ‘natural’ dams.Interesting article in the Grauniad today:

I don't know why we're not considering more Beaver Dam Analogues as suggested by @VaughnT here:

I like the idea of beavers, but we can put in natural dams where they are not practical to introduce, or there's too much resistance.
