Ok Folks, it's time for you to vote on the first monthly heat of the 2019 photo competition.

As usual the theme for the first was ''Photographers Choice" and I'm pleased to see we have a nice wide range of subjects. It's obviously a very popular subject for folks.

Anyway, as in previous heats the winner will go through to the grand final in December, also their picture will be used on the BCUK Facebook page.

Following on comments in previous heats where people have said they'd like extra votes I'm going to try something different this year.

Voters will get two votes which they can change whilst the vote is underway. However I am not going to allow the results be seen until the end of the vote to keep the tension going

It's really good to see it taking off at last after all Mesquite's perseverance.

I do like the two vote opportunity. It is still very difficult to choose between such a strong field, especially when there is a large entry but then there is all the more for us to enjoy. Thank you all 17 of you - and Mesquite!
