In the end I bought a Sundridge S-box seat box. £25 delivered from www.spottydogtackle.com. (No connection, just a satisfied customer).
The really useful bit is the two "free" trays that clip on to the main unit. They're great for holding spoon knives, food, cups of tea, etc.
I took this to Swyn's meet last weekend and it was great. Comfortable to sit on. Lots of positive "why didn't I think of that" comments too.
