Badger!

I used to enjoy watching both badgers and hedgehogs foraging for food when I lived in UK.

I helped the hedgehogs by giving them extra food ( cat food).
lovely animals! But full of fleas, so do not touch them!

I used to spray mine with Johnsons Insecticidal Spray. I just couldn't watch them suffer so bad

Pah!
in my days we used DDT. Stored it in the shed in a bucket.
Fantastic stuff, killed everything.

Wow, thanks for the pic. I have two local setts and never seen one dead hog anywhere near them, must look a little harder.

Yes Janne, its Ground Elder. Nasty invasive stuff it is too.

But tasty when picked young!
I used to stew it as a side dish, put it in soups coarsly chopped, or make a soup just like spinach soup. Or Nettle soup.
It has a faint liquorice taste.
