Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
Not seen it yet but Patrick often uses a two piece drill, I have a fancy decorated set he made . It's a hazel stem with a socket that you insert the drill working end.
The drill has a spindle tip fitted into it. It wears out and a new one is fitted. Mine's the same.
It allows different tips to be fitted; a rodent tooth, or a bit of flint to bore a straight sided hole through wood or a shell for instance. A very good tool
Landward is segments; I'm just really pleased to see bushcraft as one of them and more pleased that it's someone who really does know his stuff that's doing it
